If you asked a Jewish rabbi who Jesus was, he’d probably say that he was a 1st-century rabbi whose disciples got too carried away about his identity. If you asked an imam the same question, his response would be that he was the last prophet from God before the arrival of Muhammad. A Buddhist monk would say he was an enlightened teacher of the West, but not a personal deity in the flesh. A Hindi would say he was perhaps a reincarnation of Krishna or just another deity.
