What Did Mary Know?

Its that time of year again.  The air is colder.  Shop keepers and merchants have drug out their annual holiday specials.  And nearly wherever you go, someone has the Christmas carols going full blast on the radio.  Of all Christmas traditions, the carols perhaps incite the most interesting controversies.  Consider when the carols should be sung.  For some the carols are appropriate year-round and for others only between Halloween and maybe December 31st.  And of course there are the Scrooges who would allow only a paltry few carols for a limited time on December 25th.
